Its four samplers can be layered and blended with an XY pad to create new patches from trombones, trumpets, brass hits and sustained hits. Brass uses four samplers, each with its own filters, reverse, pan, gain and tuning controls. The XY circle lets you blend the layers into a single patch, and the XY pad makes it fast to browse and combine samples.
A mixer page lets you adjust gain, pan, tuning, high-pass and low-pass filters and reverse for each layer, with a real-time waveform display. You can also bypass layers or swap samples manually when you want more control over the result.
Attack and release, a stereo widener and a colorize control shape layered patches. Performance options include MIDI transpose with a range of plus or minus 24 semitones, pitch bend up and down, tremolo speed, glide time and velocity sensitivity.
The built-in effects chain includes drive, delay, reverb, panner, bit crusher, a three-band equalizer, a compressor and high-pass and low-pass filters. The interface is fully resizable up to 200 percent. The developer describes the library as highly compressed, at about 100 MB.
