Black: Multi-Layer Trap Synth Plugin by Thenatan Audio

Black is built around four layers, each with its own sampler. Each layer has filters, reverse, pan, gain and tuning controls, so you can shape every sound before combining them.

The XY Circle and XY Pad handle blending. Rather than mixing layers with separate faders, you move through the XY space to change how the layers combine, which makes it quicker to browse and dial in a patch.

The Pitch Designer adds vibrato and pitch envelopes, and glide and velocity sensitivity give you control over how notes move and respond to playing dynamics.

The Mixer page lets you balance signals from the different layers and adjust gain, pan, tune, high-pass and low-pass filters, and reverse per layer. Waveforms are displayed in real time.

Black includes its own effects chain: drive, delay, reverb, panner, bit crusher, equalizer, a compressor, high-pass and low-pass filters, tremolo, saturation and a stereo widener. These let you add grit or space without loading additional plugins.

The interface can be resized up to 200 percent and includes animation, which helps when working on a large screen.
