808 Cooker is built around the 808 bass sound, which is central to many hip-hop, trap and electronic productions. Instead of programming an 808 from scratch, producers can start from Ramzoid's collection of 808 samples and shape them with the plugin's controls. Custom samples can also be dragged and dropped into the instrument, so you can work with your own sounds alongside the included ones.

Sound Shaping and Distortion Controls

808 Cooker combines a multi-band distortion section with two fully parametric EQs. The distortion section lets you add grit and harmonic character, and the multi-band option gives you control over which frequency ranges are affected. The two EQs allow you to shape the tone of the sample to fit your mix.

Full ADSR control lets you move the sound from long and sustained to short and bouncy. A stereo width adjustment and a glide knob for pitch bends add further options for tailoring the bass to a track.

Samples, Workflow and Compatibility

The instrument contains a large selection of 808 samples that Ramzoid hand-crafted. You can also drag and drop your own samples into the plugin, which makes it possible to combine the included library with your personal sound collection.
