03In depth

Melodies, basslines and rhythms for synthwave writing

The collection uses InstaComposer 3's composition engine to generate retro-inspired melodic lines, hypnotic bassline patterns and driving rhythmic phrases. According to the developer, the presets are designed around the emotional range of the genre, so you can pick material that leans bright or dark before you start arranging.

The presets are intended as raw ideas. You can use them to seed a chord progression, to find a lead line that cuts through a supersaw-style texture, or to anchor a groove with a pulsing pattern.

Who the Synthwave preset pack is for

The pack suits producers and composers who want to write synthwave faster and with less trial and error. If you already use InstaComposer 3 and want ready-made material in the genre, this expansion adds 40 presets to that workflow.

Because the presets need InstaComposer 3 to run, the pack is most useful to people who already work in that environment. It is not a substitute for the host software.
