FM Sounds Built on the Virus Two-Operator Mode
The presets use the frequency modulation components of the Virus to create bright, punchy FM tones. Resonance Sound says some patches draw on the Yamaha DX7 era, while others push further into raspy FM basses, crystalline keys, tinkling mono leads and sharp plucks.
Many presets add irregular but controlled atonal, aliased or droning character. These qualities are tied to how the Virus handles its FM mode, so the pack is most useful if you want FM sounds that the Virus produces in its own way.
