Synthmorph - Virus Dark Cinematics is aimed at producers who own an Access Virus and want darker, more atmospheric sounds. The pack covers drones, leads, pads, basses, pulses and arpeggios, organized into categories so you can find a starting point quickly. Resonance Sound also includes 19 Synthmorph sequences, which show what the Virus can do with automation. The presets are delivered as MIDI files for the Virus hardware and software synthesizers, with a PDF manual covering installation and usage.

Sound Design Categories and Content

The 128 presets are grouped into six categories: 14 basses, 53 arpeggiators, 17 decay sounds, 11 leads, 11 pads and 22 effects. The arpeggiator group is the largest, so it suits producers who build patterns from layered sounds.

According to Resonance Sound, the arpeggios and basses are the core of the pack. You can layer several arps, change their settings and arp patterns, adjust note length and apply the predefined modulations, then shape the result into your own dark cinematic sound.

Synthmorph MIDI Sequences for Virus Automation

The pack includes 19 Synthmorph sequences in MIDI and mp3 format. Resonance Sound says many of them use up to 30 controller lanes of automation, which is intended to add detail to cinematic textures.

You can play the sequences as they are, edit them, or apply them to other presets in your Virus library. The mp3 versions let you hear the sequences before you load them into your session.
