01Overview

Synbiosis is the fifth volume in Applied Acoustics Systems' Sound Bank Series and the first made for Chromaphone 3. Sound designer Daniel Stawczyk built the 130 presets around working organically with a synthesizer, and the collection covers a wide range of sound types. Each preset is a starting point for exploring what Chromaphone 3 can do, from sequenced arpeggios and deep basses to bells, pads and processed effects.

What Is Inside the 130 Synbiosis Presets

The collection is split into eight categories. Arpeggiators are the largest group, with 17 presets, followed by 33 synths. Nine bass arpeggiators sit alongside 14 basses, so you can pair rhythmic bass lines with sustained bass sounds from the same bank.

The remaining presets cover keys (17), soundscapes (13), bells (7) and effects (21). The effects group is useful for shaping sounds from other parts of your project as well as the synth patches themselves.

Using Synbiosis with Chromaphone 3 or AAS Player

Synbiosis is a Chromaphone 3 sound bank. After installation, the presets appear under Chromaphone 3 Reverence if Chromaphone 3 is installed on your computer.

If you do not own Chromaphone 3, you can still play the presets through the free AAS Player plug-in or standalone application, which loads the Reverence sounds.
