The collection is organized around a few distinct sound families. Drum kits built from exotic materials sit alongside percussion that moves away from realistic acoustic models. The developer describes the soundscapes as ranging from dark beginnings to glittering futures.

Generative textures make up a large part of the bank. These layered, evolving sounds suit ambient and cinematic work, while the hybrid instruments cover bells, chimes, keys, strings and pads for melodic and harmonic use.

Martin Walker has worked as an electronic engineer in radar and hi-fi, a training manager for Atari, and a software author. In the 1980s he moved into professional music and sound design, completing more than 100 game soundtrack and sound effect projects across nine computer game formats.

From the mid-1990s he wrote columns, reviews and features for music technology magazines including Sound On Sound and AudioTechnology. He now writes, designs sound, releases ambient albums on his YewTreeMagic label and occasionally works on circuit-bending audio projects.
