Soundbank for Deepmind 12 is a set of 128 presets built for the Deepmind 12 synth. The bank is the fourth release in 5Pin Media's series of sound banks for popular modern hardware synths. The presets are sorted by role, with 47 basses, 33 stabs, 11 polys, 10 leads, 10 arpeggios, 8 pads, 8 sound effects and a single percussion sound. Sound Types and Musical Roles

The bank is organized by sound type, so you can find a starting point quickly. The bass group is the largest, with 47 presets for sub, mid and synth bass parts. The 33 stabs can also be played as regular poly synths, which gives them more range than a stab-only set. The 11 polys can be used as stabs as well.

Leads, pads and arpeggios round out the bank, with 10 leads, 8 pads and 10 arps. The 8 sound effects and single percussion patch are useful for transitions and accents. Most presets have parameters assigned to the mod wheel, so you can add expression and movement to a sound while playing.

Loading the Bank on Deepmind 12

The sounds are supplied as a complete bank in .syx format. To load it, you need a MIDI interface and a SysEx application, or the Deepmind 12 Editor application. The bank requires Deepmind 12 firmware V1.1.2 or newer. 5Pin Media states that the bank has been tested with the Deepmind 12 synthesizer.

The developer notes that all synth sounds in its demos use only the Deepmind 12 onboard effects. Apart from drums and vocals, no other samples were used.
