Sound Design and Modulation in the Racks
Each of the 250 racks exposes macro controls for shaping sounds quickly, along with room for hands-on automation. The developer uses Shaper as a modulation source on some presets to create more unusual timbres. Live's LFO is used to extend the Operator and Analog devices in several racks.
MIDI note velocity is routed as a modulator on many presets, so the sound responds to how you play. That makes the racks useful as a starting point for expressive, dynamic parts rather than static patches.
