03In depth

Sound Design and Character

5Pin Media describes the presets as premium-grade sounds for melodic techno, sourced from the genre's most popular styles. Each preset is built inside Serum, so you can open the signal chain, change oscillators, filters and effects, and shape the sound to fit your own track.

The presets are macro-driven. Each one exposes a set of macro controls that change several parameters at once, which gives quick access to the main character of a sound without digging through menus.

Performance Control and Included MIDI

The developer notes that you can control tone and expression through a MIDI controller or with DAW automation. This makes the presets practical for live tweaking and for movement across a track.

The bonus content includes 151 MIDI files: 14 from the demo and 137 from Melodic Techno & Deep Minimal by 5Pin Media. These give you starting patterns to test with the presets right away.
