Solids Chromaphone 3 Sound Bank is a 102-patch preset collection for Applied Acoustics Systems' Chromaphone 3 synthesizer. It covers house organs, electric pianos, guitar and plucked strings, bells, basses and pads.
Solids is a preset collection built for Chromaphone 3, the analogue-style synthesizer from Applied Acoustics Systems. It is designed to show how far the instrument can reach, from classic keyboard sounds to textures that shimmer and change over time. The set sits alongside the original Chromaphone 3 factory library and adds a range of familiar keyboard voices next to more experimental material.
The bank spans essential house organs and electric pianos, along with cinematic textures that shimmer and evolve. Electric guitar and plucked string elements add variety, and a set of realistic bells and chimes rounds out the collection.
The developer says Solids blurs the line between analogue, FM and physical modelling. Expect punchy basses, delicate plucks and ethereal pads. The developer positions these sounds for synthwave and soundtrack work.
Solids is a preset bank for Chromaphone 3, so the synthesizer is the main requirement. Once the sound bank is installed, it is added to Chromaphone 3 automatically if the synth is present on your computer.
If you do not own Chromaphone 3, the included AAS Player plug-in can load and play the Octagon sounds, either as a plug-in or as a standalone application. The package includes the preset bank, the AAS Player plug-in in VST, AU, AAX and RTAS formats, and a serial number.
Formats, systems and requirements as listed by Plugin Boutique. Missing details are left out, not guessed.
