03In depth

What is inside the Oriental Melodies preset pack

The pack consists of 40 InstaComposer presets. Each preset is a melody setup for the InstaComposer MIDI plugin, which means you load it into InstaComposer and then shape the result to fit your track.

Because the presets are built for InstaComposer, they work as a starting point for melodic ideas. You can adjust them within the plugin to change the feel, rhythm or contour of a melody.

W. A. Production describes the collection as inspired by the melodies of different cultures, with a focus on Asian-style sounds.

Who it is for and how to use it

The pack suits producers who already work with InstaComposer and want a set of Asian-style melodic ideas to draw from. Producers looking for ready-made melodies in a specific regional style will find the focus clear from the title and description.

The presets are meant to be used across several genres. Load one, audition it against your chords and drums, then edit it until it sits in your mix.
