Sound Character and Genre Direction

The Tone Foundry positions Midnight Connection around synthwave, melodic techno, electro and tech house. The developer describes the moody, cinematic and gritty tones of the pack as drawing on classic analogue synthesis, which Diva is designed to emulate.

The presets are meant to add analogue richness to modern productions. The developer says the collection suits retro-inspired synthwave as well as driving techno, and that it can serve as a starting point for new sound design.

Preset Categories for Diva Producers

The pack contains 90 presets grouped into arps, basses, FX, leads and pads. The leads and basses form the largest parts of the set, with 30 leads and 25 basses, followed by 25 arps, 21 pads and 9 FX presets.

Because the presets are organized by category, producers can quickly find a bass for a techno groove, a lead for a synthwave melody or a pad for a background texture.
