03In depth

Latin Guitar Styles and Strumming Patterns

The bank covers a range of Latin styles, including Bossa Nova, Reggaeton, Brazilian, Kompa, Flamenco and Bachata. Each style has its own set of guitar presets, so you can match the feel of a track without building a sound from scratch.

The 84 strumming patterns are designed to be played with your own chord progressions. You enter the chords, and the patterns follow your harmony, which makes the bank useful for writing and demoing Latin-influenced songs.

Using Latin Vibes With Strum GS-2 or AAS Player

After installation, the presets are added to Strum GS-2 automatically if the plugin is on your computer. Pop Rocks, the bank's name in the install options, then appears among your Strum GS-2 libraries.

If you do not own Strum GS-2, you can still play the sounds through the free AAS Player plug-in, which runs as a plug-in or as a standalone application.
