Kickoorator: Layered Kick Preset Expansion for Rave Generator 3

Each of the 128 presets in Kickoorator is built from stacked sample layers rather than a single kick sample. According to Audio Blast, the layers are chosen to give each preset its own character, from harsh, distorted industrial hits to deeper, heavier bass drums.

The layered approach is the main point of the pack. Stacking several samples lets a kick carry more body in the low end and more edge in the upper harmonics, which is why the developer frames these sounds as suited to dense, high-energy tracks.

Because the presets are grouped by character rather than by a single style, you can start from a hard industrial slam and shape it toward a deeper, rounder hit within the same family of sounds.

Kickoorator is aimed at producers working in hardcore, hard techno, gabber, industrial and frenchcore. These genres rely on kicks that are loud, dense and consistent across a full track, so a large set of ready-made layered kicks is useful as a starting point.
