03In depth

Afro House patterns generated by InstaComposer 2

Each of the 40 presets is designed to drive InstaComposer 2 in producing MIDI patterns that reflect Afro House. The emphasis is on percussive rhythm, which the genre relies on for its groove, along with bass lines that lock to that rhythm and melodic material that fits the style.

Because the output is MIDI rather than audio, the patterns can be routed to any instrument or sampler you prefer. You can keep the rhythmic structure and replace the sounds, or keep the sounds and rework the groove.

Who the Afro House presets are for

The pack suits producers working on dance-oriented tracks who want a fast route into Afro House rhythm without programming every pattern from scratch. It fits both dancefloor-focused beats and more intricate arrangements that draw on the genre's percussive traditions.

If you already use InstaComposer 2, the presets extend its built-in generation with a focused genre set rather than general-purpose patterns.
