Sound Banks by Synth and Genre

Urban Trip is a 100-preset collection for the Ultra-Analog VA-3, aimed at trap, boom bap and lo-fi producers. Its sounds include hard-hitting percussion, deep basses, crunchy melodic keys, soaring leads and effects. Low End Theory is a 117-preset bank for the same synth, with sections for bass, kicks, leads, synths, arpeggios and FX. It includes low bass, punchy kick drums, sine whistles, saw leads, vintage organs and a selection of vinyl scratches.

Hop Riffs is built for the Strum GS-2 and offers 84 guitar presets and 84 strumming patterns across 12 hip-hop sub-genres. You can play the patterns with your own chord progressions. Turmoil District is a 101-preset bank for the Chromaphone 3, covering kicks, snares, basses, hi-hats, pads and keys for darker trap, cloud trap, R&B and ambient styles.

Setup and Requirements

The sound banks work with the free AAS Player plugin, which runs as a plugin or standalone application. If you own the matching synth, the installed bank is added to it automatically. Urban Trip and Low End Theory need either the Ultra-Analog VA-3 or the AAS Player. Hop Riffs needs either the Strum GS-2 or the AAS Player. Turmoil District needs either the Chromaphone 3 or the AAS Player.

Because the AAS Player is free, you can start with the sounds even without owning the synths. Check that the synth or player you plan to use is installed before you buy the bank.
