Sound Character and Organic Textures
Vespera Standard starts from distorted tube-driven modular signals. Each oscillation is re-amped through a vibrational speaker transducer, so the source material picks up the resonance of the objects it passes through. The developer names drums with various skins, metal springs, and the sympathetic vibrations of a Swedish Nyckelharpa and a rare giant Indian Ezraj as sources.
The result is a set of organic, gritty tones. The developer describes the palette as dark and hauntingly beautiful, covering pulsating rhythms, ethereal atmospheres, textured sounds and drones.
