Wind and Percussion Sound Sources
The wind section covers instruments such as the Mihuioti Whistle, Quena, Double Chamber Flute, Skull Ocarina and Palo De Canto, several with straight, short, long and flutter variations. The percussion section includes a bamboo Guadua Hit, Prehispanic Ceremonial Shakers, a cylindrical Güiro Selvático made from Amazonian black wood, and hits on gourd and metal variants of a Mayan trumpet.
Most sounds are recorded with three microphone channels (Close, Far and Vintage), and up to three dynamic layers and 20 round robins help keep repeated notes from sounding mechanical.
