Granular Engines, Modes and Sound Shaping
Each of the four granular engines works independently, so you can layer different sources or build contrasting textures within a single patch. The granular controls include position, pitch, grain size, density, envelope, spray, spread, atomic structure, speed and tone, which together determine how the sample is fragmented and how the grains blend.
The three playback modes change the character of the source material. Normal and reverse modes are useful for straightforward time manipulation, while multiverse plays normal and reverse simultaneously for denser, more unusual results. Nine built-in FX and 72 convolution reverbs and creative effects, available for each engine, add further shaping options.
