01Overview

Tango starts from the traditional sound of bandoneon, violin and double bass, instruments rooted in the musical identity of the Rio de la Plata. The recordings were performed by professional musicians from Argentina. ZAK Sound processes these organic performances through sound design, producing presets that range from authentic instrumental tones to drones, frozen pads, granular layers and cinematic arps. It is built for film scoring, dramatic underscore and atmospheric production.

Sound Character and Sound Design

The library begins with raw recordings of bandoneon, violin and double bass, performed by Lisette Grosso, Nacho Gobbi and Fermin Suarez. From there, the presets move in two directions. Some stay close to the instruments, with sustains, staccatos, dynamic sweeps, percussive body hits and expressive vibrato. Others are reshaped into deep drones, granular textures, frozen pads, evolving arps and experimental FX.

ZAK Sound says the goal is to keep the emotional character of tango while extending it into modern scoring and atmospheric work.

Presets and Workflow in Raizes Player

Tango contains 71 presets organized into seven categories: Cinematic, Drones, Experimental, Granular, Melodic Arps, Minimalist and Traditional. The traditional category gives the most direct access to the acoustic sources, while the other categories cover processed material for underscore, ambient beds and experimental production.

The library runs inside the free Raizes Player as a VST3, AU, AAX or Standalone instrument. The installed size is 480MB. Raizes Player must be installed to use Tango, and an internet connection is required for activation.
