01Overview

SynthMaster 3 Player Upgrade is the upgrade path for owners of SynthMaster Player. It is a stripped-down version of SynthMaster 3, aimed at producers who prefer shaping existing presets over building patches from the ground up. It includes the factory presets of SynthMaster One, SynthMaster 2 and SynthMaster 3, and goes beyond a simple ROMpler by letting you edit layer voice, zone, effect, arpeggiator and sequencer parameters, and load presets into new layers for multi-layer patches or drum kits.

Factory Content and Expansion Banks

The plugin ships with 4450 factory presets designed by a team of sound designers, including Arksun, Aiyn Zahev, Bluffmunkey, Brian Transeau, Davide Puxeddu, Francis Preve, Venus Theory and many others.

SynthMaster 3 Player can load SynthMaster One, SynthMaster 2 or SynthMaster 3 expansions. There are currently 58 expansion banks covering a range of genres. You can preview presets in those banks inside the plugin, and the In-App Shop offers expansions for purchase.

Editing Layers, Views and Arpeggiator

Track View is used to edit keyboard zones, velocity zones, voicing, unison, arpeggiator and sequencer parameters across multiple layers. Mix View is used for insert effects and effect send parameters across multiple layers.

Each layer has its own arpeggiator and sequencer. MIDI passes through the sequencer first and then the arpeggiator. Each step can take random values for trigger, hold and slide parameters, which helps with generating evolving rhythmic patterns.
