SynthMaster 3 Player Upgrade: Preset-Focused Synth Plugin by KV331 Audio

The player ships with 4450 factory presets created by a long list of sound designers, including Arksun, Brian Transeau, Francis Preve, Howard Smith, Rob Lee and Venus Theory.

It can also load SynthMaster One, SynthMaster 2 and SynthMaster 3 expansions. The developer lists 58 expansion banks across a wide range of genres, and presets in those banks can be previewed inside the plugin. Presets are searchable by product, author, bank, instrument type, attributes, genre, name, release date or favourite status.

SynthMaster 3 Player offers two views for editing layers. Track View covers keyboard zones, velocity zones, voicing, unison, arpeggiator and sequencer parameters across multiple layers. Mix View handles insert effects and effect sends for multiple layers.

Each layer has its own arpeggiator and sequencer. The MIDI signal passes through the sequencer first and then the arpeggiator, and each step can take random values for trigger, hold and slide parameters. The plugin is also compatible with Native Kontrol Standard, and factory presets are NKS-tagged for browsing in Komplete Kontrol and Maschine.

This version suits producers who mainly edit and combine presets rather than build sounds from the ground up, and who want access to a large factory library plus expansions. The in-app shop lets you buy additional expansion banks from inside the plugin, so it works as a gateway to more sound content.
