Field Recordings Played as Instruments
The instrument maps recorded sounds across the keyboard, so you can play them as melodies, textures and solo voices. Sound categories include alarms, sirens, blasts, risers, impact FX, nature FX, radio tones, voices and ambient tones, along with sub-synth sustains and staccatos.
The sounds were recorded on basic hand-held equipment in uncontrolled city and forest environments, so some recordings carry noise and rough edges. The developer presents this as part of the character of the library rather than a studio-polished sample set.
The Glide control handles legato and portamento leads, and a 13-type filter section offers low-pass, high-pass and FX filters with assignable modulation sources.
