01Overview

This bundle pairs SoundID Reference for Headphones with the Apollo Monitor Correction Add-on under a single license key. The headphone software applies a calibration profile to existing headphones, with presets covering more than 500 models, and aims for a flat frequency response target. The add-on moves speaker and headphone calibration onto Apollo X hardware, so correction can run on the interface itself. It is offered for VST2, AU and AAX on Windows and macOS.

Headphone calibration and frequency response target

SoundID Reference for Headphones applies a calibration profile matched to your headphones. The software includes more than 500 headphone calibration profiles, and with a profile applied it sets the frequency response target to be flat across all audible frequencies. Sonarworks describes the target as designed to emulate neutral-sounding speakers.

The bundle also adds custom target adjustments in real time, and the ability to choose the frequency range the calibration is applied to. Three filter modes are available, including zero-latency processing for live tracking and linear phase for maximum clarity.

Running calibration on Apollo X hardware

The Apollo Monitor Correction Add-on lets you run speaker and headphone calibration directly on supported Apollo X Gen 1 and Gen 2 interfaces. Supported speaker layouts range from stereo to 9.1.6, and calibrated bass management is available for stereo setups with a subwoofer.

Depending on the Apollo X model, you can calibrate one speaker profile and up to two headphone profiles at the same time. Supported target modes include Flat, the Dolby Atmos Music curve and a user custom target, plus device emulation targets through Translation Check.
