How the Shattering Works
Record Breaker captures your audio onto a spinning disc and breaks it into shards. As the disc turns, a virtual needle moves across each shard and replays a different slice of the original recording.
The developer contrasts this with standard glitch tools that loop a single buffer on a rigid grid. Because the motion follows the physics of a broken record, the rhythm of the glitching is less predictable and does not repeat in the same way.
