Brass, Organ and Percussion Sounds in Oro
The brass section includes trumpet, trombone, sousaphone and bombardino. Each is recorded with articulations such as short and long notes, falls, glissandos, shakes and flutter-tongue effects. The trumpet and trombone reflect their role in salsa ensembles, while the sousaphone and bombardino connect to porro and marching band traditions.
The pipe organ comes from the Sala de Conciertos Biblioteca Luis Ángel Arango in Bogotá. It includes bombarda, tutti, principal and muted flute registrations across two keyboards and pedals.
The percussion set covers surdo, repique, güira, cowbell, hi-hat, ride and crash cymbals, with multiple hits and mutes for each instrument.
