NEU-473A: German-Style Compressor, Expander and Limiter Plugin

The NEU-473A is aimed at the midrange. Antelope Audio describes it as a faithful recreation of a German compressor designed to work in that band, and says the original was valued for its transient grabbing and forward mids.

The plugin is meant for tone and dynamics shaping at several points in a production, from mix bus to individual sources where the midrange needs to come forward. Because its compressor, limiter and expander are separate modules, you can use it for subtle leveling or for more aggressive limiting within the same tool.

The De-Es switch and Bass-cut switch give extra control over the sibilant and low-end content around the midrange focus of the unit.
