01Overview

Miniraze is built around wave-slicing oscillator technology, which lets each oscillator splice two waveforms together. The developer says this produces sounds that are hard to reach with a single oscillator in other synths. Its library spans simple sines, multi-variation waves and complex shapes, so the same engine covers warm, retro tones as well as harsher, more experimental textures. The layout follows a classic analog-style signal path, with dedicated oscillator, mixer and modulation sections.

Best for

Wave-Slicing Oscillators and Sound Design

Miniraze has three wave-slicing oscillators. Each one slices together two waveforms, drawn from a library of more than 150 waveforms that ranges from simple sines to complex, multi-variation waves.

The oscillator design is a streamlined version of patented wave-slicing technology. The developer says it lets you build timbres that multiple conventional oscillators would otherwise be needed to approximate. Two filters in series, each with 15 filter types across subtractive, generative and formant styles, shape the result.

For modulation, there are four synchronizable LFOs, four ADSR envelopes (including a dedicated amp envelope with velocity modulation) and a modulation matrix for modular-style patching.

Effects, Arpeggiator and Interface

Miniraze includes nine onboard effects, among them Delay, Reverb, Chorus, Flanger, Phaser and Distortion. A Ring Math processor offers 21 types of ring modulation, and an External Audio input lets you process instruments, voices and other sounds.

The built-in arpeggiator turns chords into patterns and random notes. Unison mode stacks voices for a thicker sound.

The interface supports 35 languages and 32 color themes, so you can adjust the look to your preference.
