Saturation Styles and Tone Controls
Modern is designed to add density and level without an obvious colour, so sounds get thicker before they start to distort. Vintage uses an asymmetric curve that adds even harmonics, with a slow drift that keeps sustained sounds moving.
Resonant drives a band between 250 Hz and 3.5 kHz into asymmetric clipping and mixes it with the dry signal, so the low end and top stay as they were. Focus tilts the tone by ±3 dB around 700 Hz in Modern and Vintage, and sets the resonant frequency in Resonant mode.
Phase is a six-stage all-pass disperser that reshapes transients and thickens attacks. It is fully out of circuit at zero.
