Distortion Types, Timbre Modes and Filtering
The distortion module offers four types: analog tube saturation, soft clipping saturation, regular distortion and folded sinus distortion. Each produces a different character, and the interface graphics show which mode is active.
The four timbre modes, named Fuzz, Wall, Cliff and Make Me Scream, change how the signal's frequencies are affected. Fuzz is a balanced mode, Wall concentrates on bass, Cliff emphasizes the midrange and Make Me Scream brings out the highs.
The filter section can be set to high, low or bandpass modes with an adjustable cutoff. The Emphasis control boosts frequencies around the cutoff, and the Envelope Follower makes the effect react to transients for a rhythmic, auto-wah-like movement.
