Vocal-Based Hybrid Sound Design
Lyra's engine fuses 17 samplemaps with 24 custom wavetables. ZAK Sound says both layers are derived from the same vocal recordings, which keeps the tonal character cohesive when the two are combined.
The range runs from recognizable organic textures, where the voice remains audible, to futuristic synthetic pulses. This makes the instrument useful both for pads that keep a human quality and for more abstract, evolving sounds.
Because the source material is shared across layers, blending them tends to produce results that feel unified rather than stacked. That suits pads that need to sit smoothly under a mix.
