01Overview

Little Clipper 2 is the lighter, smaller version of Boz Digital Labs' Big Clipper. It focuses on the essential clipper features in a layout designed to be quick to dial in. Hard and Soft Clipping Character

Little Clipper 2 lets you choose between hard clipping for a crisp edge and soft clipping for a smoother result. The Input Gain and Ceiling controls set how much signal reaches the clipper and where the peaks are capped, so you can shape the amount of clipping directly.

The Mix knob blends your dry sound back in with the clipped signal. This makes it easier to add density or control peaks without losing the character of the original track.

The new version also adds asymmetrical distortion and oversampling, which the developer lists as additions to the clipping engine.

Stereo and Mid/Side Clipping for Buses

For stereo tracks, Little Clipper 2 offers several channel configurations. Stereo buses can be processed in Mid/Side mode, which the developer says often sounds more natural than standard stereo clipping.

You can also clip only the mid or only the side channel while leaving the other untouched. This gives more precise control over how the stereo image is affected.

The interface is resizable, so you can work at a size that suits your session.
