Violin, Trombone and Guitar Sound and Playability

The violin and trombone include many articulations and repetitions, along with fast and slow true legato slides. EastWest Sounds says these slides are meant to maximize playability and authenticity.

The guitars were sampled with up and down strokes, multiple velocities, picking styles, release trails, chords and effects. The developer credits session guitarist David Kole, based in Los Angeles, with the guitar performances.

Accordions, Percussion and Rare Instruments

The accordions come in several setups, with air flow samples in and out, expressive samples, chords and left hand bass. The library also includes a percussion program, two flamenco dancers for foot stomps, and traditional castanets.

Gypsy additionally features a bandoneon and a cimbalom, two rarely sampled instruments. The instruments are preloaded with settings intended for performance straight out of the box.
