Sound, Bells and Articulations
The instrument covers the tenor crumhorn in several bell setups. Open and closed bell recordings give different tonal colors, and the onion bell mouth, called Cromorno d'Amore, offers a muted, vox humana-style sound.
Six articulations are included: Sustain Non Vibrato, Embellished Sustain Vibrato, Sustain Vibrato, Staccato, Half Tone Trill and Whole Tone Trill. Together they cover sustained lines, short notes and ornamented passages, which suit early music arrangements and modern pieces that call for a period color.
