Spectral imprint sound design
The core of Color Play is its spectral imprint engine. The developer describes it as a way to transfer the spectral envelope of any sound onto another, which can produce hybrid textures that are hard to get from a conventional sampler.
In-depth Spectral Imprint settings cover resolution, harmonic distribution and dynamics. These controls determine how closely the imprinted sound follows its source and how the harmonic balance of the result behaves across the keyboard.
