Cattaneo Electric Piano is built around a classic electric piano-type instrument that Have Audio sampled after Cattaneo modified and augmented it. The library includes 647 samples in NCW format and five mixable channels. Beyond the core piano tone, the instrument offers a sustain pedal layer that responds to your MIDI sustain pedal, along with reverb, delay, a tape section and an arpeggiator for building rhythm and movement.

Layered sound and character

The instrument is organized into five mixable channels. PIANO is the main sound. HUMAN captures the noise of hands hitting the keys, which helps the performance feel closer to a real instrument. SWELL adds sound-designed swells, GRAINS adds a granular sound-design layer, and COLOR adds tuned crystal glasses.

These layers can be used together or on their own. Solo use gives a more traditional electric piano sound, while combining them produces textures that move beyond the standard instrument.

Controls, effects and workflow

ATTACK lets you shape the attack of the sound. The reverb section offers six algorithms, and the delay can be set to Normal or Ping-Pong with a selectable time subdivision and level.

The tape section adds cassette tape hiss, with six noise samples to choose from, plus wobble for random detuning. Three pedal FX slots each offer six types: EQ, Compression, Saturation, Chorus, Phaser and Leslie. An arpeggiator is also included.
