Equalizer and Compressor Character

The EQ section is built around a mid-band intended for shaping snares, kicks, guitars and vocals. Heritage Audio says boosts stay musical even at extreme settings. A Class-A high-pass filter removes low-end buildup, and the high and low shelves include a bell mode for more precise tonal shaping.

The compressor uses a diode bridge-modeled design, aimed at thick, punchy and controlled dynamics. A Blend control provides parallel compression to keep natural dynamics, and a sidechain filter lets you focus compression on specific frequencies. Real-time monitoring of the processed sound is available while tracking.

Routing and Versions

Internal routing lets you place the EQ before the compressor for more responsive compression behavior, or after it so the compression detector is unaffected by EQ settings.

The full version includes the Heritage Audio 73-style preamp. The lightweight version omits the preamp for users who do not need it. The full version is designed to pair with the i73 Pro interface and can also be used as a standalone tool.
