Articulations and Expressive Playing Techniques
The instrument offers 18 articulations selected through keyswitches. These include sustained notes, a strong vibrato sustain, normal, double and triple staccatos, and short glissandos up and down, which are called scoops. Mordent articulations cover half tone, whole tone and minor third intervals in both long and short forms, along with double mordents.
For rhythmic movement, there are tempo-synced options such as a Balkan phrase and two approach note groups. These let you add stylistic runs and embellishments without playing every note by hand, which suits melodic lines that need a lively, ornamented character.
