01Overview

The expansion adds ten Chinese voices to the SoundID VoiceAI system, aimed at C-pop, Mandopop, Cantopop and genre-blending productions. The voices change the timbre of your own vocal recording while the original performance stays the same. Processing runs locally inside your DAW, so you do not need to leave your session. The pack is designed to work with Unison Mode for vocal doubles and harmonies.

Voice Character and Timbre Transformation

The pack includes five male and five female voices built for Chinese-language vocal styles. Sonarworks says the voices are trained on licensed, ethically sourced recordings and are meant for studio use.

You apply a voice to an existing vocal take rather than recording a new performance. The timing, phrasing and pitch of your original take are kept, and only the timbre changes. This makes the pack useful for producers who want a different singer identity without re-tracking.

Workflow, Unison Mode and Requirements

Processing happens locally in your DAW. The voices are compatible with Unison Mode, which you can use to create vocal doubles and harmonies from a single take.

The pack requires a SoundID VoiceAI Perpetual license. On both Mac and Windows, you need a DAW or plugin host that supports AU, AAX or VST3, plus 4 GB of free RAM for unlimited local processing.
