Psytrance 2 for ImPerfect is a preset pack from W. A. Production containing 60 synth presets for the ImPerfect synthesizer, covering basses, leads and pads for psytrance production.
Psytrance 2 for ImPerfect is an expansion pack of 60 synth presets developed by W. A. Production for ImPerfect. The set is split evenly across three categories: 30 basses, 15 leads and 15 pads. The developer describes the presets as aimed at pulsating, psychedelic psytrance tracks. The pack is listed as 100% royalty-free, so the sounds can be used in your productions without per-track licensing.
The pack contains 30 bass presets, 15 lead presets and 15 pad presets. The bass section is the largest, which suits psytrance's heavy reliance on driving, rhythmic low end.
The developer says the leads and pads are meant to deliver twisted melodic lines and atmospheric textures, the layers that give psytrance its hypnotic character. Because all presets are built for ImPerfect, they can be tweaked in its synthesis engine after loading.
Psytrance 2 for ImPerfect is aimed at psytrance producers and DJs who already use ImPerfect and want genre-specific starting points. The developer positions it for experienced producers as well as those new to the style.
If you do not own ImPerfect, this pack will not work on its own, since it is an add-on preset set rather than a standalone instrument.
