Drum & Bass Phenomenon from Plugin Boutique Presets is an expansion for Phase Plant that covers a wide range of drum & bass styles, from Neuro and Liquid to Jump-Up and Jungle. The pack includes snarling Reese basses, deep subs, resonant horns, keys, soaring pads and complex effects, along with drum hits. Each preset is designed to be dropped into a track with minimal additional processing, and every patch includes bonus WAV renders.

Basses, Leads and Pads for Drum & Bass Sound Design

The bulk of the pack is bass-focused, with 36 basses alongside 7 leads and 7 pads. The developer describes the set as covering Reese basses, deep subs and sultry keys, so producers working in Neuro or Jump-Up can find aggressive bass material while those working in Liquid can draw on softer keys and pads.

The presets are built on the Phase Plant synthesis engine and combine traditional oscillator setups, wavetables and FM, as well as combinations of all three. Patches include today's popular dancefloor sounds as well as newer original designs.

Layering and Macro Controls in Phase Plant Presets

Effects and layering are handled inside the synth, so each preset is ready to use with little extra processing. Each patch also includes at least five macro controls for shaping the sound, from subtle movement to larger timbre changes.

The pack adds 3 plucks and stabs, 4 bells and keys, 3 drum hits and 4 FX, which gives you a complete starting kit for building a drum & bass arrangement inside Phase Plant.
