01Overview

Massive Trapstep Presets is a preset expansion from developer Resonance Sound, built for Native Instruments Massive 1.3. The pack is organized into categories so you can find the right sound quickly: basses, leads, plucks, powersaws and FX. Resonance Sound says the patches are leveled for equal loudness and include full macro controller assignments, which helps when you want to shape a sound in real time or move it into a mix without large level changes.

Basses, Leads and Powersaws for Trap and Dubstep

The pack's largest groups are basses and leads. The collection includes 17 basses and 23 leads, along with 13 powersaws for big, layered synth parts. Two plucks and nine FX patches round out the set, giving you the core elements of a trapstep track in one place.

Because the patches are sorted by category, you can audition a whole group, such as all the basses, and pick the one that fits your arrangement without digging through unrelated sounds.

Macro Controls and Workflow in Massive

Each patch comes with macro controllers already allocated. Macros let you change several parameters at once from a single knob, which is useful for sweeping filters, shaping movement or adjusting intensity during a performance or an automation pass.

The pack requires Native Instruments Massive 1.3 and is not compatible with NI Massive X, so check your version before you buy. Resonance Sound notes that the demo uses drums for illustration only. Those drums are not included in the pack, so you will need your own drum sounds.
