Sound Design: Wonky Basses, Trippy Leads and Spooky Pads

The bank contains 25 wonky bass sounds, 25 trippy lead synths and 14 spooky pads. Loopmasters describe the collection as inspired by the sounds of the Dirty Bird label, and the developer lists artists such as Claude Vonstroke, Justin Martin, Catz 'n Dogz, Eats Everything, Kill Frenzy, Shiba San and Style of Eye as references for the sound.

The basses lean toward deep, wobbly movement, while the leads are described as quirky and oddball. These are character-driven patches meant as a starting point for House and Techno tracks rather than neutral, all-purpose sounds.

What Is Included and How to Use It

Each of the 64 Massive presets comes with a matching MIDI file, so you can check how a patch plays before you commit to a part. The download also includes 64 WAV loops, which are rendered versions of the selected patch and its MIDI file. These can be dropped into a project for instant inspiration or used as reference while you build your own parts.

The pack totals about 85 MB of content. Because the presets are for Massive, they are not compatible with NI Massive X.
