01Overview

Angelicals is a sound bank from Applied Acoustics Systems built for the Ultra-Analog VA-3 synthesizer. The collection is delivered as a preset bank that installs into the instrument, so the sounds are ready to load without building patches from scratch. Producers who already use the VA-3 and want a set of starting points can load the bank and adjust from there. Because the bank also works in the free AAS Player, you can audition the sounds without owning the full synthesizer.

How Angelicals Works in Ultra-Analog VA-3 and AAS Player

After installation, the sound bank offers two ways to play it. If Ultra-Analog VA-3 is installed on your computer, the preset bank, named Reverence, is added to the synthesizer automatically. You can then browse and load its presets like any other VA-3 content.

If you do not own Ultra-Analog VA-3, you can still play the bank through the AAS Player plug-in, which is available as a free plug-in or standalone application. This makes the collection easy to test before deciding whether the full synthesizer fits your studio.

Who Angelicals Suits Best

The bank is aimed at producers working with the Ultra-Analog VA-3 who want ready-made presets as a base for their own sound design. It also suits anyone who wants to hear how the bank sounds through the free AAS Player before buying the synthesizer.

The presets are a source of material to start from rather than finished tracks, so they work best as a launching point for arrangements and patch tweaking.
