Trivium Drums: Metal Drum Instrument by Bogren Digital

Trivium Drums offers two sound states. The Processed mode gives access to the drum sound as mixed by Jens Bogren, ready for use in a song. Switching to Natural mode removes that mix processing and returns the drum sounds as they were originally tracked, which suits producers who prefer to mix the kit themselves.

The recordings were made in the drum room at Fascination Street Studios, which the developer describes as purpose built for drums. Bogren Digital's Advanced Panel lets you set individual drum mic levels, control bleed between channels, add reverb and switch in a parallel compressor.

The instrument includes drum grooves and fills recorded by Alex Bent that you can play from within Trivium Drums or drag into your DAW session. They are useful for sketching a song's drum part quickly, and you can adapt them to fit your arrangement afterward.

Two programming aids are included. Anti-Machinegun adds variation to fast consecutive hits to avoid a mechanical rattle. Auto Double Kick distributes fast kick patterns across both kick drums when needed, which keeps fast double-bass passages sounding more like a real player.
