Tropical House - Serum Presets is a collection of presets for Xfer Records' Serum synthesizer, built around the warm, melodic sound of tropical house. The pack includes bass, pads, leads and plucks, along with drum hits and FX. Each preset is paired with a MIDI file and a WAV loop, so you can hear the sound in context and reuse its musical ideas. The loops are set at 110 BPM, the tempo the developer associates with the genre.
The pack is organized by role. It includes 25 plucks, 15 poly sounds, 8 leads, 5 bass presets, 4 subs, 3 drum presets, 3 pads and 1 FX preset, for 64 Serum presets in total.
Loopmasters describes the sounds as warm and uplifting, with rich pads, phat leads and elevating plucks. The bass and sub presets are intended for the low end of feel-good dance tracks, and the drum and FX presets can add texture to a full arrangement.
Every preset comes with a matching MIDI file, and the pack includes 64 WAV loops rendered from the presets and their MIDI files. The WAV files are recorded at 24-bit, 44.1 kHz.
The loops are built to a 110 BPM tempo. You can use them as reference for how a sound sits in a groove, or as a starting point for your own parts.
