01Overview

Patchworx Rizzle DnB is a preset collection built around the drum and bass style of producer Rizzle. It covers the core sounds a drum and bass track tends to need: sub-heavy bass, synth leads, drum sounds, pads, plucks, risers and effects. Each preset is designed for Xfer Records' Serum, so the sounds can be tweaked inside the synth. The pack also includes MIDI files and rendered audio loops for quick starting points.

Bass, Synth and Drum Presets for Drum and Bass

The pack contains 64 Serum presets split across 16 bass, 15 synth, 10 drum, 7 atmos, 6 pluck, 3 chord, 3 FX, 3 pad and 1 riser preset. The bass and synth sections make up nearly half of the collection, which suits producers who build tracks around heavy low end and aggressive lead sounds.

Loopmasters describes the producer's style as a mix of musicality and nastiness, with wobbly sub-bass and boom-bap breaks. The presets are intended to capture that approach, giving you a starting point for sounds with a menacing edge.

What Is Included and What You Need

The download totals 265MB, with all audio at 24-bit, 44.1 kHz. Alongside the presets you get 69 MIDI files and 69 WAV loops that combine the presets with their matching MIDI, so you can hear the patches in context straight away.

The presets require a full, up-to-date version of Xfer Records' Serum. A trial version is not indicated for this product.
