Prepared piano sounds and character
The pack's core idea is a prepared piano, a grand piano whose strings or internal mechanics have been modified to change its tone. Beat's sound designer, Marco Scherer, used a Yamaha C3 as the source and applied that treatment across the set. The result is 30 distinct patches, each built as a keygroup program, so the pack covers a range of colors rather than one piano tone with variations.
Because every patch is a keygroup program, you can play them across the keyboard or pads like any multisampled instrument. The audio previews help you judge each sound quickly, which matters when a pack contains this many alternatives.
